Monday’s tasting starts in Wellington, as winemaker Francois Roode introduces a trio of Diemersfontein pinotage from the estate that made the coffee version famous; and then heads to the United States, where Jim Clarke from Wines Of South Africa sizes up South African success in the American market, over some Boschendal chardonnay and Meerlust Rubicon.
